- Where and when does the event take place? -- Empower will take place at sites across the National Mall on Friday and at the Washington International School Tregaron Campus on Saturday and Sunday. The address for WIS's Tregaron campus is 3100 Macomb Street NW.
- What time should I arrive and where do I go on the first day? -- National Gallery of Art – West Building (Lecture Hall)
PLEASE USE: The 6th Street Entrance near Constitution Avenue.
Start Time: Plan on arriving at 10:00am to allow time to find the Lecture Hall and receive your name tag. Our keynote will begin at 10:15am.
Directions once inside: Enter through the 6th Street entrance. Walk straight ahead into the Garden Café. NGA staff will greet you and guide you to the Lecture Hall, located inside the American furniture galleries. - Will there be a conference app or schedule I can download? We will be using empower2027.sched.com for all conference logistics!
- Is there a recommended dress code? Participants may wear what they feel comfortable in.
- Are meals or refreshments included with my ticket? Yes, we will provide breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday. We will also provide a happy hour on Saturday. On Friday, meals are on your own but we will provide a list of recommendations.

- Networking & Sessions
- How do I schedule or sign up for specific sessions? We will alert you via email when the sessions are live and you are able to register for your preferred sessions.
- Is there a networking lounge or reception? Yes, there will be a reception on Saturday evening from 3:00pm-5:00pm.
- Will I have access to session recordings or presentation slides afterward? We will not be recording sessions but we will offer access to slides after the conference.

- Where is the venue located? WIS is located at 3100 Macomb St NW. The National Gallery of Art is located on the National Mall.
- How do I get there by public transportation? To get to WIS, you can take the metro via the Red Line to Cleveland Park. To get to the National Mall, you can take several metro lines.
- Is parking available and is it free or paid? Parking on WIS's campus is free. We encourage you to take public transportation to get to the National Mall.
- Venue Amenities
- Is free Wi-Fi available? Yes, all participants will have acecss to our wifi network called WIS Guest. There is no password.
- Are there on-site dining options or nearby restaurants? All food will be provided on site.
